The foundations of the Antichrist
The media, Islam, and the “Promised Land”
According to the FBI hate crimes in America targetin muslims or just people who appear to be middle eastern surged in the aftermath of 9-11.
There is this cloud you know with the hate crimes, with the profiling, with being rounded up, again I think this illustrates the power of film. That in spite of the reality in spite of the material that we know to be true we still embrace the mythology. the mythology is still part of our psyches. Stereotypes take a long time to wither away and for many of us we are comfortable with our prejudices. we don't want to change. we have grown accustomed to this face.
Getting Real
When we think of arabs what do we see? what images come to mind. Do we see actual people. People who despite real cultural or geographical differences do pretty much the same things that we do. When we think of Arab women what images come to mind. Do we see women who laugh and play and who adore their children? Women who work in the homes as well as outside. Would it come as a surprise to know that a majority of college students are actually women. what's our media image of arab men. do We see loving fathers men who want to provide for their families. What about arab teenagers? Do we see them that the way you would think about teenagers in other parts of the world? Then there is religion in the arab world. do we see it as all encompasing dominating everything else. do we know that even though faith plays a huge role in the arab world just as it does here in the united states. That its also true that much of the arab world is quite secular. When we think of arabs and religion does christianity come to mind? Do we remember that there are over 20 million christians in the region who have lived side by side in harmony with muslims for centuries. To their credits some filmmakers have shown arabs and america—arabs in all their complexities an excellent way to shatter a stereotype just through laughter through comedy. So we have comedians. Comedians have done this historically. Black comedians, jewish comedians. So we see arab commedians doing this. And this is one way to release the tension.
A guy at the counter picked up my credit card sees the ?!?! looks at me all weird and says eh buddy. what kind of a name is .. that. I Said that’s an arabic name. What does this mean. Translated to english it means peaceful friendly arab. but he is not happy. because what arab country is your family from. !?!?!?!?!? we are from the same arab country that Aladdin is from.
To his credit michael moore in fahrenheit 9/11 in the dvd includes a scene with this comedy.
My name really is ahmed ahmed and I can’t fly anywhere. All you white people have it easy. You guys get to the airport like an hour two hours before your flight. İt takes me a month and a half.
For an arab, the agenda of the media is very obvious.
For non-arabs, this agenda might not seem as obvious, nevertheless its your responsibility not to fall prey to such conditioning.
We live in a world where we can criticize and ridicule. You understand, we ridicule anything and everything. The fact that we can do it is satisfying to me. Yes. Because, it means... That we have freedom. We have to be a little bit wiser and not engage in this sorts of provocations. But, if we have to refrain from drawing cartoons of your prophet out of sensitivity. Out of sensitivity to moslims’ feelings this becomes a form of self-censorship. For me, freedom of expression respecting the other go hand in hand. I am for freedom of expression. But why excercise it only to hurt another? Let me, I feel like making a carricature of Mohammed, Jesus or a Rabbi, I should have the right to do it. Do you understand? This is France. When you know you are only going to insult milions of people, why do it? It’s about freedom. That’s what it’s all about. The same journalist interviewing Dieudonne’ a comedian who palyed the role of an orthodox Jew. Don’t you think you should have apologized for your action? You could have said, "I am sorry, it wasn't funny, sorry if I hurt your feelings, it was stupid of me.' It's part of my job. The comedy I play ha“ to have those few lines. I can’t understand you. Am shocked. I find your action inexcusable. We live in a country where we can freely express ourselves. Why are you against? I am going to tell you why you don’t have the right to freely express yourself. Because of the Holocaust, that’s why your comedy creates a little problem. But, for 400 years, we have also sent 100's of millions of black to slavery, and that doesn't prevent us from making comedy with black characters. We have seen Michell Led’s stand up comedy with an ape dressed, with eye glasses, like a black. Nobody stopped or critized him he was even hailed as a hero. For someone who had all his family exterminated at the concentration camps And he sees somebody on ** saying, “Isra-heil” do you realize the severity of the situation? I don’t think you do. There are many instance s where we told well-known people, “we can’t have you on the show, it's no longer possible like Lanceral whom will never be invited to this program.
It has to be equal freedom for everybody. Meaning what? Freedom for all. A person like Dieudonne’ who made a couple Jewish jokes And he is banished. His career is finished And he is a famous comedian. We’ve passed many anti-semitism laws. I suggest we make one against Islamophobia.
The agenda is very obvious, and it fits in comfortably with the “War on Terror”, and the New World Order”. Same agenda, different name. In todays world, when someone mentions Islam, do you think that the general public thinks this...
Or this...
Freedom go to HELL
This...
Or this...
Which images did they select to place on the front page news?
These..
Peace is the way.
Or these...
Freedom go to hell. Behead those who insult. Be prepared for the real holocaust!
Didn’t tou notice something fishy about those so called muslim protests in London? You don’t know how hard the played you. Look again, what do you realize?
Well for one; all the signs with the same hateful messages, were all written in the same handwriting! Meaning that 1 and only 1 individual wrote all those signs!! And 2 out of all the protesters that day, the ones holding those signs were the only ones with each member's face covered!!
The face of muhammad
Don’t accept everything they impose on you. You are better then that.
Don’t think you are. Know you are!
A Noreagaaa & Achernahr Production
To be continued inshallah
