Telling the truth is a very good habit. If you always speak the truth, you can save
قول الحقيقة عادة جيدة جدا .... اذا تكلمت الحقيقة دوما تستطيع أن تحفظ

yourself from a lot of trouble! Here is a story of a man who did a lot of bad things,
نفسك من الكثير من المشاكل وهذه قصة لرجل يفعل الكثير من المنكرات

but his promise to tell the truth saved him
لكن وعده بأن يقول الحقيقة نجاه منها


Once a man came to the one of the good men and said, "Oh Mr
مرّة .... جاء رجل الى أحد الصالحين وقال له اه سيدي ,

I have many bad habits. Which one of them should I give up first?" The
لدي الكثر من العادات السيئة اي منها يجب ان اتخلص منه اولا

good man said, "Give up telling lies first and always speak the truth." The man
قال الرجل الصالح ...اترك قول الكذب اولا وقل الصدق دوما

promised to do so and went home
وعد الرجل بأن يفعل هكذا ومضى الى منزله

At night the man was about to go out to steal. Before setting out, he thought for a
وفي تلك الليلة كان الرجل على وشك ان يسرق وقبل ان يحزم امره فكر في

moment about the promise he made with the good man . "If tomorrow
لحظة الوعد الذي عقده مع الرجل الصالح وقال في نفسه لو سألني غدا

asks me where have I been, what shall I say? Shall I say that I went out stealing?
اين كنت البارحة ماذا سأقول له هل سأقول بأني ذهبت الى السرقة

No, I cannot say that. But nor can I lie. If I tell the truth, everyone will start hating
لا لا لا استطيع ولكني ايضا لا استطيع الكذب واذا قلت الحقيقة سيكرهني

me and call me a thief. I would be punished for stealing.
وينادوني بالسارق وسأعاقب على السرقة

So the man decided not to steal that night, and gave up this bad habit
.ولذلك قرر الرجل ان لا يسرق تلك الليلة ويتخلى عن هذه العادة السيئة

Next day, he felt like drinking wine, when he was about to do so, he said to
في اليوم التالي شعر بحاجة لشرب الخمر وكان على وشك ان يفعل ذلك عندما قال لنفسه

himself, "What shall I say to the good man if he asks me what did I do during the
ماذا اقول لرجل الصالح إن سألني ماذا فعلت خلال اليوم

day? I cannot tell a lie, and if I speak the truth people will hate me, because a
لا استطيع بان اقول الكذب واذا قلت الحقيقة سيكرهني الناس جميعا لان

Muslim is not allowed to drink wine." And so he gave up the idea of drinking wine.
المسلم لا يجوز ان يشرب الخمرة ولذلك تخلى عن فكرة شرب الخمر

In this way, whenever the man thought of doing something bad, he remembered
وبهذه الطريقة ..... وفي كل مرة فكر فيها الرجل بأن يفعل شيئا سيئا تذكر

his promise to tell the truth at all times. One by one, he gave up all his bad habits
وعده بأن يقول الحقيقة دائما ... ومرة بعد مرة .... تخلى عن عاداته السيئة كلها

and became a good Muslim and a very good person.
واصبح مسلما تقيا ورجلا صالحا

If you always speak the truth, you can be a good person, a good Muslim whom
اذا تكلمت الحقيقة دوما .... ستصبح رجل صالح ..... ومسلم تقي

Allah likes and favors. If Allah - our Creator - is pleased with us, He will reward us
يحبه الله واذا كان الله راضيا عنا سيكافئنا

with HEAVEN, which is a place of happiness and joy

بالجنــــــــــة ........ مكان الفرح والسعادة الدائمة

Make a promise: I shall always speak the truth.
عد نفسك ...... سأقول الصدق دوماً
