1 DOPAMINE
dihydroxyphenylethylamine; an intermediate in tyrosine ؛؛؛؛bolism and precursor of norepinephrine and epinephrine; it accounts for 90% of the catecholamines; its presence in the central nervous system and localization in the basal ganglia (caudate and lentiform nuclei) suggest that dopamine may have other functions. Syn: 3-hydroxytyramine, decarboxylated dopa.
ويستخدم عادة للمرضي الذين يعانون من هبوط في ضغط الدم حيث يرفع ضغط الدم ويعطى وريديا وتحسب الجرعة عن طريق المعادلة
2 epinephrine او adrenaline-[1-hydroxy-2-(methylamino)ethyl]-1,2-benzenediol; a catecholamine that is the chief neurohormone of the adrenal medulla of most species. The L-isomer is the most potent stimulant (sympathomimetic) of adrenergic alpha- and beta-receptors, resulting in increased heart rate and force of contraction, vasoconstriction or vasodilation, relaxation of bronchiolar and intestinal smooth muscle, glycogenolysis, lipolysis, and other ؛؛؛؛bolic effects; used in the treatment of bronchial asthma, acute allergic disorders, open-angle glaucoma, and heart block, and as a topical and local vasoconstrictor. Generally used salts are epinephrine hydrochloride and epinephrine bitartrate, the latter most frequently used in topical preparations. Syn: adrenaline.

3ATROPINE
dl-tropyl tropate; a racemic mixture of d- and l-hyoscyamine, alkaloids obtained from the leaves and roots of Atropa belladonna; an anticholinergic, with diverse effects (tachycardia, mydriasis, cycloplegia, constipation, urinary retention, antisudorific) attributable to reversible competitive blockade of acetylcholine at muscarinic type cholinergic receptors; used in the treatment of poisoning with organophosphate insecticides or nerve gases. The (–) form is by far the more active. Syn: dl-hyoscyamine, tropine tropate.

Midazolam is also used as a continuous intravenous infusion in the ICU for longer-term sedation.
